Online “PROJECT PRESENTATION” organised to commemorate ‘The International Mathematics Day’
The Post Graduate department of Mathematics, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala organized an online event “PROJECT PRESENTATION” to commemorate “THE INTERNATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY” under Ramanujan Society. This event was focused on History of Mathematics and Applicable aspects of Mathematics. In this event Students demonstrated their projects, online posters and power point presentations. The event was started by by Dr Anu Bala. The Head Department of Mathematics Dr. Varun Jain formally welcomed the College principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar and made students familiar with the theme of the event and explained various rules for participation. The College principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar congratulated the participants and motivated them by quoting the examples of mathematicians. He said that role of Mathematics in real world cannot be denied and can be visualized in various fields viz. Artificial Intelligence, Permutation and combinations, data algorithms, Mathematical modeling.
In this event 31 students, 14 teams of one team comprises of at the most three students. Total 200 students had this online event.
In this event, the stage was conducted by Dr. Anu Bala. The participants were judged by Ms. Chetna Gupta, Dr. Chetna Sharma and Ms. Rajvinder Kaur. The event was successfully coordinated by Ms. Chetna Gupta and Dr Anu Bala and technically managed by Dr Rohit Sachdeva and Dr Anu Bala. In the last Ms Chetna Gupta proposed Vote of thanks on the behalf of Mathematics Department.
